The Upper Left Men’s and Women’s VLA Teams represent the highest level of competition within our organization. As members of the Volleyball League of America (VLA), our athletes compete against high-level programs from across the country, showcasing elite talent from Spokane and the Pacific Northwest on a national stage.

These teams are more than just rosters — they represent the continued growth of volleyball in our region.

Upper Left is committed to creating opportunities for both men and women to continue competing beyond the collegiate level while providing a visible pathway for younger athletes who aspire to reach the next level.

Why the VLA Matters

The VLA provides a competitive platform for post-collegiate and elite athletes to continue playing at a high level while helping grow the sport throughout the United States.

 

Through national competition, regional rivalries, and increased exposure, our VLA program gives athletes an opportunity to continue pursuing the game they love while representing their community.

For Upper Left, it also creates an important connection between our youth programs and elite-level volleyball, giving young athletes the opportunity to see what their future in the sport can look like.
